Emerson essay

Anderson title is on self-reliance and I think he chose that title for a reason. Emerson choose that title to explain his writing because he wanted to do what he preacher. Emerson's tone in this essay is very bold, empowering, and some what changes your point of view. Just the tone by itself is basically saying he stands by what he says in His essay. The way that emerson uses diction, well he uses big vocabulary words to hope that you learn something new. Even though he could have used words that you could understand. How would that help you grow? The way that emerson uses syntax in this essay was he made larger sentences to help you see a different points of view. He had statements with a question at the end. He often had, and often made sentences longer. One quote that I liked and thought ment a lot was " to be great is to be misunderstood" I truly believe that this sentence from the essay is true. For example Albert Einstein was probably the smartest the smartest man alive, yet so many people didn't understand him. One other quote that in love strongly is "what I must do, is all that concerns me, not what people think" I love this quote from the essay because it relates to me so much. I believe that my family issues, problems or success are my business and mine alone unless I feel like talking to someone. No one has the right to make me tell them my personal life. Lastly I do believe that emersons ideas do relate in my life or help in away. This essay kinda put it in the perspective of you got one life answer the questions while you can don't wait for someone to do it for you.
